Dapoli, also known as "Mini Mahabaleshwar" of Konkan is situated at the height of 800 - 1000 ft above sea level in a mountain range which is separated from Sahyadri (Deccan).

 

Nestled in the ragged, beautiful West Maharashtra coastline, Dapoli boasts of some of the most beautiful, scenic and serene surroundings. 

At Janjira fort you shall discover the charms of an island fortress. The beach is clear and wide, fringed with palm trees. The fortress is 300 years old, and an architectural marvel. In fact, it was once considered to be impregnable. The palace of the Nawab at Murud and the Janjira caves are also a must for tourists. A few kilometers away are two pristine and beautiful beaches- Kashid and Nandgaon.

 

Sri Harihareshwar temple, at southern end of Raigad district is a devotion center for many devotees. Devotees from all over India and abroad come to this temple situated at the coast of Arabian-sea. One side is Bankot creek and other side arabian sea and beautiful around hillock entered in it. It is a great fun to watch sea from the hillock.
